Workshops for Week of April 23-27

The semester is winding down, but your assignments are still coming in droves! Stop by the Writing Center for help with that final paper, speech, or outline. Or, check out this week's workshops to see if one of these topics applies to an upcoming assignment of yours.

The Source Credibility workshop will be held on Tuesday, April 23rd from 1:00 - 1:45 PM. Learn about beginning the research process, asking the journalistic questions (5WH), formulating a research question and a working thesis statement, and performing preliminary research.

The Research: Points of View workshop will be held on Wednesday, April 24th from 5:30 - 6:15 PM. Learn how to find and evaluate sources for research essays. What are some red flags for avoiding sources?

The Punctuation workshop will be held on Saturday, April 27th from 12:30 - 1:15 PM. Learn common punctuation errors and how to fix them! When should you use a comma or a semicolon? Does the apostrophe come before or after the ‘s’? Learn all this and how to save lives with punctuation!

All workshops are held in HS 203. No RSVP is necessary, just come on in!
